We're happy to answer any questions you may have about Namasté Yoga Studio. Here are some that are commonly asked:

Q: Do I need to pre-register for any classes that I attend?
A: Pre-registration is not necessary. If you are a new student, just choose the class you'd like to attend and come by the studio 10 to 15 minutes early to complete "new student" paperwork for us. If you are already a studio member, you may attend any class on our schedule without calling ahead. We suggest you arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to sign-in and setup.

Q: Do I need to bring anything to class with me?
A: We suggest you bring water, a small towel and a yoga / pilates mat if you have one. If you do not have your own, we have mats that you may use while at the studio. We also have mats for sale!

Q: I have never taken yoga before. Which class(es) would be best for me to attend?
A: Our Extra Gentle and Hatha classes are perfect for those new to yoga. Extra Gentle classes are very healing and restorative, which is great for those with injuries or limitations. Hatha is our base level class which covers many foundation poses of yoga. The easy pace allows instructors to clearly explain movements and assist new students.

Q: What should I wear to class?
A: It is best to wear form-fitting, moveable clothing when practicing yoga. In other words, things that are more tailored and made of stretchable materials. We do a lot of bending forward in classes, and if you are wearing a large t-shirt or a hood, you'll be constantly hit in the face and head with your clothes!

Q: What is the difference between Yoga and Pilates?
A: Both Yoga and Pilates incorporate movement with breathwork. Yoga works you from head to toe, and many classes "flow" poses into one another. Pilates focuses more on precision movements that target abdominals and lower back, giving you a stronger core.
